I do understand she's been nominated for an Emmy for her performing in that show although I do not see Game of Thrones. Why did not she bring that gift to iBoy? I have seen performing than this in movies that were worse. Bill Milner is good - he is definitely nothing special and is just forgettable. He does nothing together with the character. The leads have essentially no chemistry - this is since there's absolutely no time. I'm sorry for the performers who ended up in this movie - the supporting cast all are wooden and quite awful and I simply believe the performances that go in a raw, gritty gangster film do not match with a teen scifi.
The storyline is in fact quite confined and grounded to get a movie like this which was refreshing to find out. It does not actually make sense and is very confusing. Seemingly parts of his mobile ended up in his brain???? How??!! The movie spends no time looking to describe this to the crowd and I do believe that is because it will not understand either. In the core of the story is the partnership involving the two leads - what relationship? We're told only minutes to the movie the relationship is one sided and that's all we're told. We may have cared a bit more before Tom turns into iBoy perhaps if more time was spent developing the characters as well as their relationships.
Violence and gangs are essential topics throughout the movie and that I get what was wanting to say but I believe it ended up merely glossing over it and not really giving a message that is clear. Every one of the members of the gangs are of that which you'd anticipate, very stereotypical. I truly believe iBoy uses violence together with his new powers - just by using more violence, he's looking to take down a violent group - does not really make sense does it? The movie also attempts to make some comment on the split involving the classes in the last action but I believe these remarks were left too late - this might happen to be throughout but it simply was not a clear subject.
Do not see iBoy, there's so much better out there. I believe British tweens may interest but that is about it. The picture isn't as intellectual as it needs to be - it certainly has so much on its head, it simply does not understand how to get it all. The acting is quite lousy - Williams should be embarrassed for her performance in this movie - from being nominated to the performance in iBoy to go is a travesty. The storyline is grounded and confided but that means the stakes are not rather high. iBoy - it is as horrible as it seems.
